Free online Magic

For the last week I've been messing around with MWS (Magic Workstation) and I highly reccomend it.

The deckbuilder is very nice and easy to use. The library contains every card ever printed, although you do have to input your own pics for the cards which must be downloaded seperately. The unregistered version is free, as well as the pics, and is all you will ever need. It also includes a solitaire function letting you test your deck against itself.

MWS can connect online allowing you to play any format at any time. I never need more than 30 seconds to find a standard match. The UI is much better than MTGO although still takes much getting used to. There are dozens of hotkeys to memorize. There are many functions that I have never tried or don't know about.

yeah I really like it, its a lot nicer than having to proxy every deck I want to make!

I found the setup process long, convoluted, and frustrating with very little help or support from MWS.

I've setup and made a deck, but after an hour of trying, cannot playtest at all. I tried to follow instructions, but nothing seems to work and I am very disapointed with the program.

It took a long time to set up the program, that's for sure. There are some youtube tutorials about getting it started and customizing the layout.
