I'm mostly making this announcement because of famous characters in the MtG universe being licensed for use in Lord of Vermilion 2, a sequel of a collectible arcade card game created by Square Enix.

The card list was recently revealed. The cards related to Magic are as following:

Birds of Paradise
Garruk Wildspeaker
Sarkhan Vol
Serra Angel
Shivan Dragon
Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker
Jace Beleren
Air Elemental
Sengir Nosferatu
Liliana Vess

They're in good company, since they get to room with a who's who of assorted mythological and fictional characters and creatures, and other guests from Final Fantasy and Romancing Saga.

The full list of cards is here. Japanese text only. http://www.lordofv.com/cards/

For those who may or may not have seen the Arcana recently, there is now a manga based on the recent Chandra novel 'The Purifying Fire' which is serialized in Dengeki Daioh, as well as a how to play 4-panel comic (if you can call it one) in another Japanese magazine.

Approved.
