Multiplayer Variants Empty
PostSubject: Multiplayer Variants   Multiplayer Variants EmptyFri Oct 30, 2009 12:08 am

Thought i'd make a thread for multilayer variants or deck talk since there has been a fair share of it at the shop lately. One variant I saw listed in a discussion was

The way we play 3 way multiplayer, the person with the highest life total wins when a player is eliminated. This adds a lot of additional strategy, as you have to distribute your attacks and other damage a lot more and meet situations where you have to attack a player you could kill just to weaken him. Also this ends the game right when the first player is out. So noone has to sit and watch for a game between the remainig two players to grag on and on.

Sounds interesting as it prevents people from getting ganged up on and eliminated earlier then having to sit and watch people play for 20 minutes. This way the game will end at the same time for everybody and adds another element of strategy

of course i just realized some people play sick life gain decks with allies hahah.

I actually like this way better, it makes for a lot of interesting variety.

Red can't just kamikaze assault one player and hope they have enough life to finish off the other guy later. Now they have to watch other opponents.

However this give lifelink and creature sponge decks a HUGE advantage... but also forces them into tricky situations.

Heheh, I can see how this can give some decks an edge and some a headache. Razz
