hi,
i don't live far from your shop and am looking to get back into magic but don't know where to start, i'm also thinking of joining FNM but would really like some pointers before starting that. is anbody willing to help teach me?

i use to play ice age in high school.... so yeah long time ago

Come down to the shop anytime, there's always someone to talk Magic with. Jason has a table set up in a back room where people can play Magic whenever. Sometimes a multiplayer match can get pretty massive.

On Fridays we would normally run a 3 round booster draft tournament. $15 entrance fee and prizes are based on attendance. There are usually 10-18 people participating.

We are going to start running constructed type 2 (standard) tournaments once or twice a week, or more if there's interest. This Friday we actually ran a booster draft and a constructed tournament back to back. Top prize for the booster draft turned out to be 6 additional booster packs, and top prize for the constructed tourney was 16 packs for only a $5 entrance fee. Jason would have doubled the prizes for a $10 entrance fee.

when would be a good time to go in and learn some stuff, i was never hardcore in to it but i want to be.
maybe a time where it's not super busy and someone would have the time explain stuff.

It's going to be super busy at the store every day until Christmas I'm sure. But there's usually someone there who could answer questions. Many people, such as myself, like to come to the store and hang around looking for someone to play Magic with.

New players are welcome any time. Like sam said there is ussually alawys games going on so you can learn.

I don't mind showing people how to play while I'm there, I'm still learning the more complex stuff myself.

I can teach people how to play Yugioh as well. I also know some other games.

Has anyone ever played Navia Drapt?

I always look forward to old school Magic players getting back into the game. That's kind of what I am. Welcome back.
