The buff is nice but the alt ability is kind of retarded. If i have 5 vampires on board you should be dead next turn regardless of what happens. Also with current popularity of board sweeps i'm lucky if i have more then 2 vampires on deck at any given time.

I agree, the activated ability is terrible. Unless, maybe there will be a vampire token producer in M11?

Yah that ability doesn't seem very good.

Unless there's some other way to set this up, like a vampire token producer as Sam said, or maybe some other vampire that has an ability "All Creatures you control are Vampires in addition to their other types" or something, so you can combine it with spawn tokens (Pawn of Ulamog) or some such nonsense, then I don't see this ability getting much use.
